The rise of glass – Increasing customer requirements and current interior megatrends require sophisticated materials
Megatrends like connectivity, premium design and functional integration have significantly increased the requirements of interior materials.
HMI interfaces such as displays or touch pads are getting bigger and also customers have higher demands to interior materials regarding quality, design and haptics.
Suppliers and interior engineers tried to improve established plastics like PMMA, but also apply new plastics like COC.
However they waived one of the most sophisticated materials – glass. Today's glass has the properties to outperform plastic in terms of quality, haptics and processing.

This presentation will highlight upcoming interior trends and the suitability of glass to meet all required technical specifications.
