How can aerospace infrastructure and innovations help making terrestrial agriculture more resilient to harmful influences? EurA AG (Space2Agriculture) in collaboration with the Deutsches Zentrum für Luft- und Raumfahrt e.V. (DLR) addressed this question, now published in the study “Space for a Resilient Agriculture”.

The research was conducted by Schlegel & Partner. In this project, we engaged with a wide range of industry players and key decision‑makers along the value chain, gathering their insights into current developments and emerging trends.

Based on the consolidated findings from 80 interviews and our expertise across the entire agri value chain, we answer the most pressing questions about the intersection of space technology and agriculture:

  • Which space‑based applications are already being used in agriculture, and which future use‑cases hold the greatest promise?
  • How can space technology make agriculture more resilient today and in the years to come?
  • What are the main barriers that must be removed to unlock synergies between space and farming?

A heartfelt thank you to all interview partners for their commitment and insightful dialogue, to EurA AG (Space2Agriculture) and DLR for the opportunity to conduct this study.
